Koyo Zom - Pakistan - 2019
In September/October of 2019, Will Sim, Uisdean Hawthorn, John Crook, Ally Swinton and myself travelled to the Hindu Raj range in the far north of Pakistan. We had a few photos of Koyo Zom (6877m) and, after acclimatising, set off on two separate routes to the top.
Ally and I climbed a new route on the north-west face of Koyo Zom, reaching the summit on Day 5. We descended the east face before walking out on the Pechus glacier. Here, Ally fell into a crevasse and was injured. We were rescued by helicopter on our eighth day in the mountains.
